Enhanced tech resources are included in the Atlas Care. Patients benefit from advanced health monitoring tools and access to telemedicine services, allowing for virtual consultations when an in-person visit is not feasible.
Atlas care patients enjoy a dedicated team of professionals who work to coordinate and manage your annual Healthy Journey Care Plan. Atlas care patients typically require a more intense level of care coordination, care management and care navigation.
Leveraging the PrivateMed technology suite via apps on your phone or web-based solution, you can access a PrivateMed provider from most anywhere, in the world. PrivateMed provides or has arranged to provide physician coverage via telehealth throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and USVI. From prescribing medications or labs to coordinating care, PrivateMed is on standby. Even if you are traveling internationally, we can consult with you and recommend care. Please note that additional fee’s may be applicable.
PrivateMed will coordinate certain transportation such as Air Ambulance services included in the Atlas care package should a covered emergency arise. Additionally, patients have the option to purchase Air Ambulance services that may not be covered by your insurance at special preferred rates through their PrivateMed Atlas care package.
Atlas care patients are able to purchase additional office, telehealth, visiting family member visits, doctor to doctor consults, the PrivateMed Care Anywhere home diagnostic telehealth technology and nationwide mainland telehealth services for an additional fee.
PrivateMed will provide any documentation and service records needed for patients to seek reimbursement from their health insurer. However, PrivateMed itself does not bill third party insurance for its services.
PrivateMed has assembled a network of local interventional specialists. If your Curated provider refers you to a Curated Network Specialist, two non-procedural specialist visits are included with your Atlas care package. Thereafter, the care recommended by the specialist may be covered by your health insurance or other financial arrangements between you and that provider.
For the benefit of its member’s, PrivateMed has secured exclusive access to more than 3,300 specialists and subspecialists around the United States. Through this exclusive relationship, PrivateMed can obtain expert case review and second opinions within twenty-four (24) hours of request. Occasionally, your provider may recommend consulting with a specialist to address a need that might arise. If you agree with your provider to consult with a specialist, additional fees exclusive to Enhanced patients may apply.
